Based
in Melbourne, Janet has completed a Diploma of Printing and Graphic
Arts at RMIT, Graduate Diploma Visual Arts (Sem 1) at
the Canberra School of Art and a Diploma of Fine Arts (Printmaking)
at James Cook University, Townsville.
Janet has exhibited her prints, paintings, installations, objects and
collages for over 15 years plus is a freelance jewellery designer for
the Jewellers and Metalsmiths Group of Australia, Victoria.
She is collected throughout Australia including the RMIT Union Arts
Collection, Melbourne. In 1994 Janet won the Townsville City
Council Young Artists' Award and has since received six grants
and awards including the Pat Corrigan Artist's Grant, and the
Caroline Barker City of Brisbane Art Award.
Janet's installations have exhibited at numerous indoor and outdoor
locations such as the Sydney Opera House in 2004, at both the
Adelaide and Melbourne Fringe Festival's, the Toowoomba
Regional Gallery and this year at the Glen Eira City Council
Gallery and the Midsumma Festival
- Visual Arts Program, Melbourne. Her work has toured Queensland
cities in several touring and public art exhibitions.
